Selling your home in Florida? How Accurate is Zillow’s Zestimate?
If you are watching this video I suspect it’s at least partly because the South Florida Real Estate Market is booming.
The mass exodus of Buyers moving from the Northeast and really everywhere and historically low-interest rates have created an incredibly hot real estate market.
Everybody seems to be looking or shopping online.
Buyers are always looking for the best deal
Sellers are too but they want maximum value
Invariably everyone lands on Zillow as a resource and they often use the Zestimate as a starting point for where they should be selling or buying.
I’m not here to bash Zillow. I’m a firm believer in empowering you to make the best decisions for yourself and your family.
Based on the best, most accurate information available. we have a very strict no sales pressure policy and only want to facilitate an experience that serves and supports you at the highest level.
This video is all about the accuracy of Zillow’s Zestimate.

OK – You may be wondering where am I going with this…. What am I talking about.
Today we’re going to talk about Zillow and the accuracy of their values,
What they refer to as estimates
If you’ve ever looked up a property online you’ve invariably landed on Zillow.
While there are plenty of other real estate portals. Zillow is the mack daddy of them all and some people seem to take their Zillow estimate or Zestimate as being undisputably accurate.
I bring this up today because we talk to a lot of sellers and buyers and they all ask the same thing. How Accurate is it?
I save you the suspense: It’s NOT accurate…. Most of the time and the inaccurate information can really mess you up if you believe it to be true.
And the reason for that is simple. Zillow uses an algorithm in order to get that value.
Now I’m not a mathematician or a computer scientist….. And honesty I’m not even sure how to spell algorithm but I do know based on my experience being in the field, in the trenches of buying and selling it’s constantly wrong.
